I earned my Masters of Education (M.Ed) and Education Specialist (Ed.S) degrees in Counselor Education with a specialty in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Florida. I am licensed in the State of Florida as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I also am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and an Approved Supervisor under the 491 Board.
My Master’s internships consisted of working at an Adolescent Psychiatric Unit at Shands Vista in Gainesville, Florida, as well as counseling at-risk girls at an out-patient facility in Gainesville and Wilton Manors, Florida. After earning my Master’s Degree, I continued my work as a therapist working with at-risk children and adolescents and later became the Director of a College Counseling Center. I also have experience conducting psychological assessments. In addition to counseling, I have taught at the university level. I have been providing therapeutic services with agencies, companies and in private practice for over 10 years.
I conduct all counseling sessions in English. I do not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, or physical disability. If significant differences such as in culture or belief system exist between us, I will work to understand those differences. Embrace this opportunity for growth; I trust you will find yourself in the process. Let’s begin!
